So I got this thing that I won on Ebay today. Let's say it's a ladle. It's not really, but let's pretend it is because I can't tell you what it is really. The seller (I assume) had decorated the damn thing with baubles, right, plastic hearts and flowers and crap like that. It's very pretty if you're into that sort of thing, which I'm not. I was interested just in the ladle itself, bare and undecorated. This particular kind of ladle is hard to find, see. I've been looking the past few weeks. Sort of obsessively almost, if you will. I can't tell you why but I can tell you that you have to have two of these things --at least in my world-- and I already had one. Therefore I was in desperated need of a second. Anyway, when this thing showed up on Ebay I figured, Hmmm, I bet all that crap on it can be removed. I hope. So, fingers crossed, I placed my bid and of course I won because I'd bid to win. And guess what? The stupid hearts did come off! I had to use a pair of pliers but they all came off after a satisfying pull, leaving absolutely no mark on the beautiful black, shiny surface as though they'd never been glued there. zOMG I've never been so happy using pliers on anything. So yeah, I have my second ladle (which isn't really a ladle...) and it looks just like my first and all is right with the universe. I can stop obsessing now. \ |
